In this challenging role within the SCIB Financial Crime team, you’ll support the Global Head of FCC with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) policy advisory, including control design advisory and control effectiveness review. You’ll define milestones, tasks and deliverables, but will also work with global teams to help drive policy transposition and implementation.
You’ll also be responsible for complex KYC and transactional advisory and will be responsible for the coordination of the KYC escalations and management to the Banco Santander CIB branches and supporting complex customer escalations.

The difference you’ll make:
Delivering advice to stakeholders and ensuring policy and regulatory requirements (including issues management) are fully understood and met on an ongoing basis
Supporting the implementation and maintenance of an effective Financial Crime risk framework and providing strategic direction on how it is managed
Working with the First Line of Defence and other relevant stakeholders to identify, control and assess financial crime risk in areas including Markets, Global Transactional Banking and Private Side Advisory
Driving operational adequacy and effectiveness of the Group AML Policy and Protocols and the KYC design and escalation requirements
Assisting with the timely identification of opportunities to enhance the management and oversight of Financial Crime risk, ensuring appropriate action is taken by relevant parties to deliver improvements
Developing and implementing strategies to broaden internal and external networks and keeping up to date with regulatory requirements and industry best practice
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
Proven track record of working in in a similar role within a multi-national investment bank with global and regional exposure
In-depth Financial Crime knowledge with proven leadership capabilities in a matrixed management structure
Excellent understanding of the investment banking products and services including Markets, Trade Finance, Transactional banking and Capital Markets solutions
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to disseminate the same information in multiple different ways
It would also be nice for you to have:
Advanced data skills to support Financial Crime investigations
Industry recognised Financial Crime qualification such as ICA, ACAM or equivalent
Change and project management skills

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).

Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
