Clinical Undertake regular physical observations of service users as required. Provide leadership to and work alongside Care Assistants on shift to ensure the best outcomes for service users including mealtimes, personal care, attending appointments. Undertake clinical tasks, for which training has been provided, and competence assessed. Report any issue of concern to Nurses where this is appropriate to do so.
Work within the Health and Safety policies in accordance with Schoen Clinic York guidelines. Demonstrate awareness of safeguarding principles in all dealings with patient and their families where appropriate. Ordering of and administration of medication. Represent York in a professional manner, when interacting with families and visiting professionals.
Support Act as role model for CA peers, demonstrating professional approach to duties with service users. Provide support to the Nurses if required to assist in leading a shift. Provide support and advice to CA colleagues. Contribute to MDT meetings by providing feedback when required.
Administrative Be responsible for ensuring documentation e.g. observation sheets, notes, charts are accurately completed and filed; and actions taken if needed. Be responsible for reading, understanding and complying with all relevant York and statutory policies and procedures; Assist in recruitment and induction of new members of the care team.
