About the Role:

We’re looking for a Packaging Technologist to join our fast-paced manufacturing team in Tiverton, Devon, supporting own-brand and private label NPD from concept to launch. You'll take the lead on packaging development for mid to high complexity projects ensuring packaging is robust, cost-effective, and delivered on time. Working closely with suppliers, production, and NPD teams, you’ll manage specifications, colour matching, artwork, testing and launch execution across materials including plastics and glass.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver packaging solutions for NPD projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Brief and manage suppliers on component specs, tooling, artwork, and testing.
  • Coordinate colour matching, cutter guides, and spec approval.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation (NLFs, pallet plans, specs).
  • Attend production trials and first production runs to ensure packaging quality.
  • Track and communicate project progress, risks and priorities clearly.
  • Support Packaging Coordinators and contribute to continuous improvement


What We’re Looking For:


  • Proven experience in packaging development, ideally in FMCG or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic and glass components and related production processes.
  • Confidence managing multiple projects and working cross-functionally.
  • Hands-on, detail-focused and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Manufacturing experience is an advantage.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment.
