Position:

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Internal Communications Officer to join our dynamic team and help shape how we connect, inform and inspire our colleagues across the UK and France.

In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the ongoing development of our internal communications channels, ensuring that all colleagues - from pub teams to head office - feel connected to our purpose, values and achievements.

You’ll be the driving force behind our weekly newsletters, maintain a consistent and compelling tone of voice across all internal collateral, and support cross-functional projects that rely on effective internal communication.

With an “always on” mindset for storytelling, you’ll actively seek out and share positive stories from across our pubs and wider business to celebrate success and reinforce a sense of belonging and pride within our teams.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Oversee and continually develop our internal communication channels in the UK and France, ensuring they are relevant, engaging, and accessible.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the business to support communication needs for projects, change programmes and key initiatives.
  • Act as the internal content champion, proactively identifying and curating positive stories and business wins from across the organisation.
  • Work across multiple projects at any one time, following all processes whilst working to agreed deadlines. Communicating with key stakeholders throughout projects.
  • Ensure all internal content is inclusive, clear, and tailored as required, including across our pub estate.

The role reports to the Communications Lead who is responsible for managing all corporate communications across the Group.

Requirements:

  • Experience in communications, PR, journalism or a similar role.
  • Exceptional writing and proof-reading skills, with a strong grasp of brand tone of voice.
  • A natural storyteller with an eye for finding and framing compelling human-interest content.
  • Confident liaising with stakeholders across different departments and levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite as well as experience using internal communications platforms.
  • Innovative, forward-thinking and proactive.
  • Desire to learn and develop, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • A motivated self-starter.
