The role
As a OTM Maintainer Operator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be the first port of call to facilitate repair to on-track machines in Scotland.
Day-to-day, you’ll operate and maintain on-track machines relating to lifting, laying and adjustment of track.
This role is full time OR part time, 35 hours per week and requires regular travel to rail sites across Scotland on a weekly basis.

The role
As a OTM Maintainer Operator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be the first port of call to facilitate repair to on-track machines in Scotland.
Day-to-day, you’ll operate and maintain on-track machines relating to lifting, laying and adjustment of track.
- Undertake pre planned maintenance of OTM fleet, as required by maintenance periodicity and applicable maintenance schedules.
- Undertake fault finding and repair of OTM fleet during working shifts.
- Ensure any machine downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.
- Undertake machine maintenance, overhaul, major component replacement and outstanding repairs, in any authorised maintenance location.
- Attain and retain required competency required by Safety Critical Work Regulations and other applicable standards.
- Ensure all machines systems are tested and calibrated to ensure machine complies with all applicable quality and safety standards.

- Experience delivering on-track maintenance
- Willing to travel
- HNC or NVQ level 3 or recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical discipline
- Driving licence
