We are looking for a Trust Accounts Officer to support the finance function of the Mencap Trust Company (MTC). The primary purpose of this role is to support MTC’s finance function. The work will focus on three main areas:
- Reconciliation of trust accounts using CCH Trust Accounts software
- Producing annual trust accounts for third parties
- Providing general financial support under the direction of the Trust Accountant
This is a part-time position, working 22.5 hours across three days per week, based in London. There is some flexibility regarding the specific working days and hours. While we offer flexibility around your primary work location, there is an expectation to attend the London office at least twice per month, as well as for occasional ad-hoc meetings.
Your key responsibilities as a Trust Accounts Officer
- Complete high volume reconciliation using CCH Trust Accounts software with corresponding Investment Manager’s reports to ensure accurate financial records are maintained
- Investigate historical financial variances and apply corrections
- Completion of year end processes for individual Trusts for current and previous years
- Responding to queries from other members of the MTC team
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required, including assisting with trust wind up processes, investigations, activating new trusts, trust requests and distributions, and other work as required.
