LPFT is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to assist in the delivery and handover of our Operations team’s largest capital project to date. This medium secure inpatient unit at Norton Leas, Boston, aims to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for service users within a newly purpose-built facility.
We are looking for an individual to work with colleagues and our contract partner to ensure the satisfactory progression of the project from the construction phase to the handover stage. This includes ensuring that the mechanical and electrical systems are properly commissioned, that testing is conducted in the presence of relevant parties, and that all necessary handover documentation is completed and appropriately filed.

Project Handover Leadership
- Lead the transition of the project from construction to operational handover, ensuring all mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems are fully commissioned, tested, and documented in line with NHS and LPFT standards.
- Coordinate and oversee the commissioning of all M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire safety, security, and building management systems. Ensure all systems are tested, witnessed, and validated to meet performance and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders—including Estates, Sustainability, and Operations teams—as well as external contractors and consultants to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Ensure all handover documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately. This includes O&M manuals, commissioning certificates, test results, warranties, and statutory compliance records.
- Identify and manage risks related to M&E systems during the final stages of construction
