Health Care Support Worker- Mental Health Inpatient Services

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Applications are invited from individuals who have a desire to demonstrate and deliver compassionate caring behaviours to fulfil the key functions of the inpatient ward/department. The post-holder will be responsible for contributing to the care and support of patients within the inpatient mental health service. The post-holder will provide care and support as part of an agreed plan of care which involves the use of a strengths based recovery focused approach that proactively involves the person.
The post holder is required to be able to undertake duties without direct supervision working in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals/ agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies, as well as participating in regular Nurse Line Management Supervision and clinical supervision. It would be desirable if you were educated to, or actively working towards SVQ3/SCQF level 6.
There is also opportunity for successful candidates to join the NHSGG&C Nurse Bank.

- Hours : 37 hours per week
- Shift pattern : Rotational contract day shift and night shift- 12 hr shifts
