Position Summary:We are looking for a Technical Account Engineer to join our dynamic Accounts team. In this pivotal role, you’ll act as the technical bridge between the company and key customers, ensuring the successful adoption and ongoing satisfaction with our products and services. You’ll be focused on building and nurturing long-term customer relationships, deeply understanding client needs, and providing tailored technical solutions that drive value.

You’ll play a critical part in helping the commercial team grow and retain business within assigned accounts, combining deep technical knowledge with excellent communication and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through proactive support, regular communication, and on-site visits.
  • Understand clients' businesses, operations, and challenges to recommend effective solutions and ensure alignment with their goals.
  • Deliver tailored technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Project teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Support the sales cycle with detailed quotations, proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Help achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Contribute to accurate sales forecasting and performance reviews.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, technical innovations, and competitor activity.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Support and coach other team members through mentoring, shadowing, and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance Systems and actively promote the company culture and values.

  • Strong technical acumen and an in-depth understanding of product functionality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • A proactive, customer-centric mindset focused on building long-term relationships.
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to identify and act on business development opportunities.
  • Confident in interpreting technical specifications and turning them into client solutions.
  • Self-motivated and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
  • A collaborative team player, able to work well independently when needed.
