Are you ready to be part of a dynamic and evolving Commercial team? The West of England Combined Authority is looking for a dedicated Commercial Governance & Reporting Officer to play a pivotal role in delivering excellent commercial outcomes for the Combined Authority and the West of England region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established function and contribute to its continued growth and success. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Mayor by:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing governance, leadership, and management to Technical Procurement Specialists on Transport and Infrastructure projects, embodying the Authority's values.
  • Working closely with the Senior Governance and Contract Management Lead to prepare and present papers for the Commercial Board, Corporate Leadership Team, and CEO on procurement matters.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Team to implement commercial policies and assurance, including Cabinet Office Procurement Policy Notes, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and case law.
  • Providing end-to-end support across Commercial systems and deliver effective data reporting for the Commercial Leadership team and stakeholders.

The salary for this role is £37, 035 - £40, 476. This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments for external candidates typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
