As a Systems Engineer, you will work on integrating electronic and electrical systems for various products, collaborating across disciplines to ensure advanced machine systems meet regulatory and customer requirements.


Engagement Details:

  • Start date: January-February
  • Location: Peterborough, UK
  • Full-time, 100% allocation


Responsibilities:

  • Define system architecture and related diagrams and schematics.
  • Select suitable electronic components and integrate them, working with PWM, analog, and communication signals.
  • Conduct FMEA, validation activities, and system verification testing for electronic systems and components.
  • Maintain and improve validation test plans and design validation planning.
  • Provide technical support for pinouts, schematics, and software functionality.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot reported quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with engine systems related to electronic control, such as fuel and air systems.
  • Use tools like CANape, CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, and requirements management platforms (DOORS, Teamcenter) for development.


Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified engineer with experience in systems development or equivalent qualifications (e.g., HNC/NVQ level 4).
  • Experience in developing electronic engine, machine, or automotive control systems.
  • Expertise in defining electronic requirements and technical specifications.
  • Understanding of internal combustion engines and their control mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with Controller Area Networks (CAN) and related development tools.
  • Proficiency with product structuring tools such as Siemens Teamcenter Engineering and Creo.
  • Demonstrated ability in FMEA facilitation and resolving technical issues effectively.
