About the Role
We are looking for a professional and personable Receptionist to provide a friendly and efficient front-of-house service. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff – helping ensure the home runs smoothly and securely.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract for 22 hours per week, ideal for someone seeking part-time hours and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the daily life of a care home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcoming all visitors, residents, and professionals to the home
- Answering calls and handling queries or messages professionally
- Supporting basic administrative tasks including post handling, filing, and photocopying
- Logging maintenance issues and helping with general housekeeping duties during quieter periods
- Promoting a secure and safe environment by managing visitor sign-ins and building access
- Supporting the home’s marketing by giving prospective residents and families tours
About You:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Presentable, approachable, and customer-focused
- Confident using basic computer systems
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous reception or administrative experience in a busy environment is desirable
