Decorator at GO_modular Factory

Job Description Role:

• Perform day to day tasks to all aspects of internal decorating for the interior finishes at the modular production stations in modular manufacturing factory

• Undertake a range of trades as required, all aspects of decorating, for example tape&joint, painting, application of sealants, tiling and other relevant decoration operations as required.

• Handling and managing all necessary tools and support mechanisms for decorators’ role, leasing on everyday basis with other members of decorating team, be involved in use and choice of the most appropriate decoration materials, support tools and equipment, etc
• Constantly improving and exceeding quality, productivity and techniques of delivered modular units with finished interiors
• Ensuring tasks carried out are within required productivity and quality, and in line with the design specifications, drawings and technical information provided, exceed the standard outlined where required
• The work will be based on a production line assisting with the assembly of timber frame panels and other related building materials
• Provide comprehensive workstation induction to all operatives ensuring H&S processes & procedures are fully understood and adhered to

Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of decoration, using hand tools and/or other relevant practical experience is essential as we require a candidate who is able to start with minimal training
• Multi-trader with competence in tape&joint, tiling, other finishes, etc
• Experience of working on High end residential projects, particularly within the helm of decorating and finishes would be beneficial
• At least three years’ trades experience
• Understands ‘Quality Assurance’ principles
• Can prioritise, plan effectively, and has good overall time management skills
• Uses initiative and can solve problems independently
• Comprehensive workstation induction to all operatives ensuring H&S processes & procedures are provided, fully understood and adhered to
• The successful candidate will be involved in the decorating and finishing team at production facility based in Southampton SO40
