Your role

We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Sales Team, concentrating on the Centrifugal pumps brands we represent. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects throughout the sales process and beyond. The role consists of a mix of Sales, Applications and Project Management, directly with end users and also with engineering contractors.

The Role

  • Sales visits, exhibitions, presentations and pro-active soliciting of customer enquiries and identification of sales opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Establish and maintain good professional working relationships with Principal/Manufacturer.
  • Reviewing enquiries and understanding and clarifying client requirements and specifications.
  • Preparation and issue of suitable product quotations using manufacturer selection and pricing tools where available and issuing sub-supplier enquiries.
  • Review, clarification, acceptance and handling of customer purchase orders.
  • Preparation and issue of requisitions to Manufacturers and Sub-suppliers.
  • Liaising with and expediting Customer and Manufacturer as necessary.
  • Review and acceptance of goods and documentation.
  • Internal & external technical support, including attending Customer and Manufacturer premises both in UK and overseas as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to all forms of incoming communication, acting on and giving out accurate information in support of excellent customer service or involving others as appropriate.
  • Communicating and cooperating with colleagues across all areas of the business to support efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to a shared sense of team working and professionalism.
  • Operate in accordance with and update and maintain Company administrative systems including enquiry, order and customer databases.
  • Provide budget/forecast data to Principals and Directors as required.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the requirements of the Company HS&E procedures, QMS processes and Employee Handbook.

To succeed, you will need

  • Passion for the sales process and a desire to develop partnerships with our Customers and Principals.
  • An engineering / technical background or qualification. If you have a good sales background, positive attitude and aptitude to learn, we can teach you the rest!
  • It would be an advantage to have experience or knowledge of selling process equipment such as pumps or compressors, however we will provide full training.
  • A full UK driving licence, regular travel to UK customers is required.
  • Good IT skills and competence in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, CRM tools etc.
