Deeley are recruiting for an Aftercare Operative to provide a range of trade skills to correct defects and maintenance tasks for customers and internally.

Your new role

The successful candidate will work as part of the Aftercare Team providing a wide range of tasks including direct involvement in construction work, correction of defects and maintenance.

Your core duties will include:

  • Carrying out maintenance, defect and general building tasks as directed by the Aftercare team, including but not limited to; carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating, mastic, plastering and plumbing.
  • Contacting customers to arrange property access to carry out, providing reasonable notice to the customer.
  • Engagement with sub-contractors as required.
  • Ensure all activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Maintaining and support values and reputation of the Company, with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
  • Use of Aftercare systems, processes and procedures.

Skills and experience you will need

You will have minimum 5 GCSE's including English/Maths Grade C/4 or above along with previous experience in a similar role. Ideally you will have experience in the Construction industry in a customer care or aftercare team. You must be IT literate and be multi-skilled in general building maintenance and repairs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to take initiative. You will be able to be flexible to the needs of different people and be able to develop effective relationships both internally and externally.

You will need to be able to manage customer expectations and have high quality standards.
