What we expect

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our growing HS2 division, based in our Aldgate offices in London, reporting to the Project Director.


As a Procurement Specialist, your day to day will include:

  • Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers, including contract negotiation, renewal, and performance reviews, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and processes to optimize purchasing activities, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and issue tenders, RFQs, cost assessments, purchase orders, and related documentation while managing procurement workflows and vendor onboarding.
  • Monitor and control spending, supply chain risks, quality standards, materials on-site, imports, customs duties, and conduct site audits to ensure project objectives and quality requirements are met.
  • Utilise procurement systems, databases, and MS Office (especially Excel) proficiently, supported by strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, decisiveness, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve fulfilment and project targets.

Who we are looking for

  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Level 4 or equivalent (or higher)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement role undertaking complex procurement tasks such as managing major vendors, managing tenders, Closing RFQ’s for big valued categories
  • Preferably experience in major projects within the construction industry
  • Preferably experience in NEC contracts
  • Strong skills using MS Office, databases, and eProcurement systems
  • Consistently works to deadlines
  • Strong organisational and people skills
  • Good negotiation experience in complex commodities / projects
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly motivated, reliable and hardworking
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
