We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Peri-operative staff nurse to work within the Ophthalmology Theatre at the National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC). Ophthalmology experience is preferential, but training could be provided if required.

The NTC-H is a new purpose-built centre which provides care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic Patients. The Centre is located at the City's University Campus and has 5 theatres, a 24-bedded ward and dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.

The Ophthalmology Theatre comprises of 3 theatres specialising in cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastic and vitreoretinal surgery. Orthopaedic day case hand and foot procedures are also performed two days per week.

The role would involve scrub within the peri-operative environment for patients having Ophthalmology surgery. The Ophthalmology Theatre is a fast-paced environment with a high turnover of patients. We are looking for a nurse to complement the existing team. Visits to the department are welcome.
