Data Analyst

A major player in the global financial services sector is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join its Fintech & Commercial Analytics Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong, data-driven analyst looking to apply their skills in a real-world business environment, supporting data-driven decision-making through robust analytics and insights.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain production-ready PySpark data tables aligned with business data models
• Translate business problems into structured data solutions, with a focus on payment cost analytics
• Perform data validation, root cause analysis, and reconciliation using big data tools
• Communicate data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate within Agile team rituals (standups, retrospectives, planning)
• Document pipelines, models, and workflows to ensure consistency and team knowledge sharing
• Support optimization of data structure, pipeline efficiency, and reporting accuracy
  

About the Team:

You’ll join a forward-thinking Commercial Analytics unit within the fintech function, working closely with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to support key strategic initiatives with actionable insights.

Ideal Background:

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field (preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics and insight generation
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, PySpark, and data pipeline development
• Experience with Python programming fundamentals
• Exposure to big data platforms and version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of financial or payments datasets (preferred)
• Ability to balance technical depth with high-level business communication
