The Digital Transformation Team within Lovewell Blake has been set up to focus on streamlining existing business processes within the organisation to be more efficient and technologically focused. This will be achieved by using a range ofnew technologies including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Application Programming Interfaces (API’s), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

The Digital Transformation Team are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Automation Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for a mid to senior-level developer with strong experience in building, maintaining, and optimising automation solutions using UiPath and other technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team and help set up coding best practises and technical governance within the Digital Transformation team. With a healthy pipeline of processes to automate, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and monitoring automated solutions within Lovewell Blake.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust automation solutions using UiPath, Power Automate, and other automation technologies.
  • Ensure all automations adhere to best practices, including exception handling, modular design, reusability, and naming conventions.
  • Integrate UiPath solutions with external systems (e.g., APIs, databases, Excel, internal and external applications).
  • Maintain and monitor UiPath Orchestrator, including queue management and schedule configuration.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and team members to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to uphold quality standards.
  • Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting as needed.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience with various components of the UiPath Automation Platform including UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, Document Understanding, AI and ML models and UiPath Apps.
  • Strong understanding of RPA design principles, reusability, and modular workflows. Detailed understanding of the REFramework and Document understanding framework, and experience implementing both unattended and attended robots
  • Experience with workflow debugging, logging, and exception handling.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, AI & ML
  • Familiarity with DevOps, version control systems and kanban
  • Comfortable working within agile and fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Working knowledge of scripting programming languages like c# and python
  • Exposure to other automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  • Understanding of IT & infrastructure concepts such asNetworking, API’s, cryptography and Database management
  • Familiarity with all aspects of the Automation / software development lifecycle
  • Ability to coach junior developers or contribute to internal training initiatives.
