Salary: £36,000 (OTE £60,000)

We’re seeking a driven and hands-on Small Works Commissioning Engineer to join a growing fire alarm team. This role involves commissioning small-scale fire detection systems across commercial and residential sites, ensuring high standards of compliance, safety, and functionality. Holiday pay is based on pervious hours worked in the previous 6 weeks. (Enhanced Holiday Pay)

Responsibilities

Overtime as well as other in-house benefits.

• Commissioning fire alarm systems on small works and modifications
• Liaising with project managers, clients, and site teams
• Ensuring systems are fully functional, compliant, and signed off
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers when needed
• Completing commissioning certificates and associated documentation
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience commissioning fire alarm systems (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Kentec)
• Strong understanding of BS5839 standards
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• ECS or FIA qualifications are a plus – training will be provided if needed
