The Role

We're looking for a Senior Security Controller to join our UK business. This is not just a role; it's a mission to ensure a robust and proactive security posture. Working alongside the Corporate Security Manager and key stakeholders, you will be the shield against potential threats, actively monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, and implementing cutting-edge security measures. This is an important role within our UK operations and we’re looking for someone who holds CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certifications.

Due to the nature of project work we require candidates to hold U.K. nationality or to either have, or be able to go through, U.K. national security vetting and clearance.

In This Role, You Will

  • Vigilantly monitor security systems and logs, dissect security events, and pinpoint potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Hold critical board reporting responsibility for all U.K. security matters.
  • Streamline and manage the employee security clearance and vetting process.
  • Spearhead responses to security incidents or breaches, and enact swift corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct in-depth security assessments and audits to uncover weaknesses and champion improvements.
  • Manage access controls, user accounts, and security permissions to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Deliver engaging security awareness training to employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate advanced security solutions and technologies.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by consistently updating on the latest security threats, trends, and best practices.

Education/Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in security management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience, preferably in a security specialist or systems management role.

Other Qualifications

  • Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP would be highly valued.
