Key Responsibilities in Grounds Maintenance
- Delivery of planned and reactive grounds maintenance services to a wide range of commercial sites across Ashford
- Grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, weeding, and general horticultural duties
- Regular litter picking and site tidying tasks, keeping all areas clean and presentable
- Operation and basic maintenance of horticultural machinery and equipment (training provided)
- Reporting site issues, hazards, and maintenance needs to the supervisor or contract manager
- Working safely in line with Ground Control’s health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Interacting respectfully with clients, the public, and your team mates
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or a similar outdoor role is preferred
- A positive, proactive approach and a willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and to undertake physical tasks
- Strong attention to detail, with pride in producing high-quality work
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Full UK driving licence desirable
