Job Profile – Customer Service Assistant - Distribution

CUSTOMER SALES
Contribute towards an excellent customer experience and work towards Branch sales and profit targetsby:
- Fulfilling customer orders in a timely fashion
- Checking incoming products against Proof of Delivery
- Completing documentation as necessary
- Realising full potential of all customer interactions and build effective relationships with customers and suppliers
- Understanding local market issues and communicate to Manager to support sales growth plans
- Report missing or damaged products to management
- On time in full KPIs
- Pick error reductions
- Stock damage reductions
- Improvements to your Branch’s Customer Score
- Environmental, Health and Wellbeing targets
- Look for new ways of working to improve efficiency
- Go out of your way to ensure customers have a good experience
- Be open to learning new things
- Have good attention to detail to ensure orders are accurate
- Utilise the wider network (Clusters, sister brands etc) to support customer requirement and business activities
- A basic understanding of the market and product knowledge

- IT literate
- Able to create and maintain successful relationships
- GCSEs (Or equivalent) - Maths & English
- Relevant forklift licence
- Experience in a sales/customer focussed role
Support Line Manager To:
- Deliver key KPIs for your branch
- Manage loading and unloading process (customer/supplier deliveries, interbranch transfers)
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Safeguard Company’s stock, money and all other Company assets
- Enhance the Safety and Wellbeing culture and meet targets
- Ensuring you and everyone around you is safe
- Achieving Stock management and PPI progress
- Increasing Customer service/ net promoter scores
- Adhering to Principles of Conduct
- Being passionate about Customer Service and Health & Safety
- Ensuring Business control compliance, including EDM
- Signing risk assessments
- Maintaining the confidentiality of prices
Support Line Manager To:
- Prepare the 30 day count down
- Complete the stock management process
- Optimise the highest level of returns on sales versus cost of transport
- Reduce stock losses when handling product
- Maintain appropriate Housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean, safe and tidy working environment
- Manage the escalation of missing/damaged product information
- Ensuring appropriate stock rotation
- Minimise shrink
- Ensuring compliance with stock policy
- Ensuring compliance with the Always Available range
