We’re looking for a Lighting Artist to help create photoreal lighting and rendering work that seamlessly integrates CG with live-action footage. You’ll work closely with the Lighting Supervisor and wider CG team to deliver visually stunning and technically accurate shots for film and high-end TV projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Light and render assets and shots in Houdini, matching real-world lighting and ensuring CG elements integrate seamlessly into plates


  • Assemble and manage scenes with characters, environments and animation for rendering

  • Perform basic compositing to ensure a clean, accurate handoff to the 2D team

  • Collaborate with Supervisors, Leads and Production to problem-solve, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent shot quality

  • Mentor junior artists, contribute to internal documentation, and support a collaborative, inclusive team culture

  • Anticipate and troubleshoot technical or creative challenges and proactively flag any issues

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience lighting for visual effects in Houdini, Maya or Katana


  • A solid understanding of physically based rendering with Arnold, Renderman, VRay or similar

  • A strong artistic eye with an excellent understanding of light, colour, form and composition

  • Ability to work methodically and collaboratively, taking and applying feedback with professionalism

  • Experience in scene assembly and rendering for both hero and crowd shots

  • Familiarity with Shotgrid or similar production tracking tools

  • Bonus: knowledge of Python or MEL scripting
