The role
As an Environmental Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will implement the environmental elements of the Babcock Rail compliance management system, including environmental policies, risk assessments, procedures and guidance notes, and will communicate these to internal and external parties.
Day-to-day, You will be responsible for implementing the operational aspects of the companies Sustainability Strategy, focussing activities on the Workplace, Marketplace and Community. Responsibilities include:

The role
As an Environmental Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will implement the environmental elements of the Babcock Rail compliance management system, including environmental policies, risk assessments, procedures and guidance notes, and will communicate these to internal and external parties.
Day-to-day, You will be responsible for implementing the operational aspects of the companies Sustainability Strategy, focussing activities on the Workplace, Marketplace and Community. Responsibilities include:
- Provide specialist advice on sustainability and environmental legislative and contractual compliance for the project.
- Manage the project’s Environmental Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Environmental Risk Profile and Aspects and Impact register.
- Develop within the environmental management platform a project specific Environment and Sustainability Threats and Opportunities profile.
- Implementing and continuous improvement of the Babcock Rail compliance management system to the ISO 14001 standard for the site.
Essential Experience Of The Environmental Advisor.
- You need knowledge of Ecology or Environmental Advisory.
- You must be willing to travel and have a full UK driving license.
- You must have an Environmental or Ecology Qualification.
