How you will Energise Our Team

We are seeking a Transactional Finance Team Lead to join our growing Finance Department. This role will manage a team of two Finance Assistants, working alongside the Management Accountant and Assistant Management Accountant. We are looking for someone who is keen to develop their current experience and grow within the function. The successful candidate will support the Financial Controller with a range of accounting duties including:

  • Lead and support a finance team, ensuring effective delivery of daily transactional processes including payments, receipts, customer refunds, and expense claims
  • Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice approvals, supplier ledger reconciliations, and overseeing the AP inbox, ensuring timely responses and workflow management
  • Perform accurate bank reconciliations and post journals to the general ledger, including intercompany entries, as part of ongoing financial operations
  • Support month-end close processes and contribute to financial audits by preparing relevant documentation and journal entries
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve customer billing and payment queries, and interpret customer accounts using the billing system
  • Drive automation and process improvements within finance, while remaining flexible to support business-wide projects and ad hoc tasks in a fast-paced environment

The Spark we're Looking For

  • Strong finance skills and qualifications, with practical experience in transactional finance roles such as accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, or data entry
  • Proven leadership and managerial abilities, ideally with experience leading a finance transactional team
  • Solid understanding of financial processes and procedures, with a track record of driving improvements and creating operational efficiencies
  • Proficiency with various finance systems and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks effectively, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and tackle new challenges
