Semi Skilled Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, reliable individual to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, testing, and servicing of hire and customer equipment. The role follows established procedures and supports the safe, efficient operation of all equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Within current skills range, to check, clean and prepare hire equipment ready for re-hire.
• Equipment service and repair to Departmental and Company standards.
• To identify and order when necessary, the required materials for Hire and Service repairs.
• Set up and operate equipment following manufacturers’ guidelines and/or procedures
• Maintain accurate records of works undertaken including job tickets, timesheets and other required paperwork in all formats.
• Where applicable carry out pre-delivery inspections for equipment
• Workshop tidiness is essential work bay must be always kept clean and tidy.
• Follow MIS health and safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, plant and equipment in a clean and workable condition.
• Ensure the general security of tools, plant and equipment and of workshop areas.
• May be required to carry out additional tasks relevant to your role
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Have a mechanical and electrical background.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions relevant to the successful outcome and conclusion of the processes.
• Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change.
• Understands the importance of data accuracy.
• Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Take part in training arranged by the company. (TBC)
• Carrying out any other duties which are appropriate to the post as may be reasonably requested by line manager.
