Teaching Assistant - St. Mary the Virgin Church of England Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Key Stage 2 team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the learning, emotional well-being, and social development of our pupils. You will assist with classroom activities, small group work, and one-to-one support where needed.

Fixed Term until August 2026

Actual Salary £15,272 - 15,514 per annum (Grade 5, SCP 5-6) pay award pending

This job is Term Time only for 26.5 hours per week and 39 weeks per year.

The Role Will Include

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering high quality teaching and learning
• Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources
• Work with individual or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning
• Help to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Promote good behaviour and support the emotional wellbeing of pupils
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
