About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Equalities Support Officer to join our Schools Service. You will play a vital role in ensuring Gypsy, Roma and Traveller children receive the support they need to thrive in education.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting schools to promote inclusion and high expectations for vulnerable children
Maintaining accurate records and monitoring data to track progress
Advising and guiding schools on current legislation and best practices
Delivering training to school staff and other professionals
Acting as a liaison between home and school, ensuring a smooth transition for vulnerable pupils
Representing the Local Authority at school and inter-agency meetings

About you

What we’re looking for:

A strong understanding of equalities and inclusion in education
Experience working with vulnerable children and families
Knowledge of statutory frameworks and safeguarding
Ability to work collaboratively with schools and multi-agency partners
Excellent communication and organisational skills
