Job Overview
We are looking for two dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager and Room Managers to support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of our Scotts Park and Blenheim nurseries. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education, supporting staff development, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Key Responsibilities

This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education, supporting staff development, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery.
- Lead the nursery in the absence of the Manager, ensuring continuity of care and compliance.
- You will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Overseeing the daily operations of your room, support and mentor staff, and ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
- Supervise and mentor practitioners, promoting professional development.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate a curriculum that meets the EYFS framework and individual needs of children.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and progress.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates and support.
- Ensure the room complies with all safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements.
- Monitor and manage resources effectively, ensuring the room is well-equipped and maintained.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare standards are consistently met.
- Build strong relationships with external agencies.
- Contribute to staff recruitment, induction, and performance management.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across the nursery.
- Support with administrative tasks including rotas, record-keeping, and inspections.
