The Role
We are seeking a Junior IT Engineer to join our skilled IT Engineering team. Reporting to the IT Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining our IT and Telephony systems. You’ll bring a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and a proactive attitude to delivering high-quality support for both day-to-day user needs and ongoing projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career to expand their skills in a dynamic environment, with plenty of scope to contribute to projects and develop professionally.

The Role
We are seeking a Junior IT Engineer to join our skilled IT Engineering team. Reporting to the IT Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining our IT and Telephony systems. You’ll bring a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and a proactive attitude to delivering high-quality support for both day-to-day user needs and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to colleagues across the business
- Ensure IT support calls are answered promptly and professionally
- Record all support tickets in our Service Desk System with sufficient detail
- Resolve IT support requests and incidents within agreed SLAs
- Maintain a proven record of closing 30+ support tickets per day
- Support system changes and participate in project work alongside day-to-day duties
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Support out-of-hours installations when required
- Prioritise mission-critical tasks effectively
- Travel across mainland UK as needed to support remote sites
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Answering and logging IT calls
- Providing first-time fixes (e.g. password resets)
- Setting up and dispatching replacement equipment
- Performing basic phone changes
- Training IT apprentices
- Handling more complex incidents and moderate equipment setups
- Performing moderate on-site fixes
- Installing VOIP systems and firewalls
- Setting up thin clients
- Supporting Exact and Bitewing X-ray only sites
- A passion for IT and delivering excellent service
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and new technologies
