Vacancy Type:Permanent, full time and based on-site. Potential hybrid working but subject to operational needs.

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 (subject to experience)

This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across product development, testing, and technical project delivery. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on fast-paced, complex programmes that directly support military and security operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting engineers with day-to-day delivery of projects across the CAS product portfolio
• Assisting with prototype builds, testing prep, and initial development activities
• Managing components and materials through suppliers and in-house processes
• Interrogating CAD models (Creo preferred) and supporting with minor updates
• Reviewing engineering drawings and BOMs to support procurement and build
• Tracking parts and documents via PLM (Windchill 10.1+) and ERP (QAD/SAP) systems
• Collaborating with project, engineering, and production teams to solve real-time issues

What you’ll bring

• A formal engineering qualification (or equivalent experience in a technical role)
• Some experience in manufacturing, defence, aerospace, or automotive environments
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
• Familiarity with CAD software (Creo or SolidWorks) and PLM/ERP tools
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and willingness to learn
• Good organisation and communication skills in a fast-paced setting
