We have an exciting opportunity within our Sports department who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Netball Development (Maternity Cover).

About the role:

You will join on a full time, Fixed Term basis for 1 year (33 weeks per year).

The postholder will be responsible for the internal management and delivering of the College’s Netball programme.

Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):

  • To work with the Head of Netball on the overall strategy for Netball and to lead the delivery of the internal Netball programme both in terms of participation and performance (must be available in sport time - including and ideally Saturday afternoons).
  • To be the lead coach for Netball - coaching across teams, running specialist sessions and to be the point of contact for all matters relating to coaching Netball.
  • Ensure the coaching delivered in Netball provides consistent principles and playing styles through the club, both in training and competition and that this is aligned with the College aims and Vision for Sport - as such it may not be necessary to coach a given team on a match day.

Person Specification

The successful incumbent must have

  • Extensive previous experience and passion for coaching Netball and possibly other Sport(s) - particularly in a youth setting.
  • Previous experience of coaching/administrating in a Netball programme within a performance, participation or school setting.
  • Netball coaching qualification (desire to undertake to a higher level e.g. 3). - Desirable
  • Familiarity of coaching within performance pathways (i.e. NPL/PDP/County) - Desirable
