What is the Global Brand and Marketing Strategy team responsible for?

The team is responsible for developing and executing brand strategy and messaging, assessing and managing global sponsorships (for example, sports), managing marketing projects and materials as well as coordinating business

management functions across the Global Marketing team.

As a Junior Brand Manager you’ll partner closely with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams to drive brand-related initiatives and corporate marketing projects across the firm globally. This will include creating and maintaining marketing materials and brand assets, managing the internal Brand Central portal, and responding to brand and marketing inquiries and requests, among other responsibilities. In this global role, the candidate will gain great exposure to brand management, creative marketing and project management, working with partners across business units and countries. Based in Edinburgh, you’ll have support from the onsite marketing team whilst being a part of this global team.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Junior Brand Manager ?

  • Managing brand and marketing projects, including developing project plans, gathering requirements, and reporting to key stakeholders and executives.
  • Managing regular updates to corporate marketing materials, gaining approval of changes through Compliance, and distributing materials across multiple platforms for internal uptake.
  • Partnering closely with our Creative Studio team to develop new or enhance existing brand assets and marketing materials.
  • Monitoring materials and communications produced across the firm to ensure alignment with brand standards, including identifying opportunities to enhance our branding.
  • Contributing to brand tracking and research efforts including conducting analyses to identify actionable insights, sharing results with partners and organizing reports on Brand Central.
  • Managing our brand portal, Brand Central, including making regular content updates, and organizing and promoting key brand assets to ensure visibility and uptake across the firm.
  • Managing our brand mailbox by responding to inquiries on how to properly implement our visual identity system, logos, messaging and related assets.
  • Tracking and reporting on analytics related to brand and corporate marketing activities and initiatives.
  • Maintaining documentation of all trademarked intellectual property related to our brand.

What ideal qualifications would help someone be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years working in marketing, branding, or advertising in a highly regulated industry.
  • Financial services marketing experience highly preferred, with a strong understanding of investment management and related verticals.
  • Strong understanding of brand management principles.
  • Understanding of graphic design principles.
  • Experience with, or a keen interest in, leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, output, and the overall quality of brand management initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Creative thinking.
  • The experience and judgement to make urgent but effective decisions in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work independently and highly accountable for results; participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules and arranges own and team’s activities in accomplishing objectives.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.
  • Excellent business judgement and ethics. Outstanding relationship-building skills.
