Management Accountant

Our client is seeking a Management Accountant, this is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a vital role in supporting the company's mission to lead the energy transition.

As the Management Accountant, you will immerse yourself in a varied role that combines operational accounting excellence with strategic financial insight. Your daily activities will involve maintaining meticulous financial records for both holding companies and joint ventures while ensuring compliance with internal controls. In addition to supporting routine accounting functions, you will also have opportunities to contribute to M&A transactions and process improvements

The Key remits to the role;

• Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting operations for both holding and joint venture companies, ensuring all general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking transactions are processed efficiently.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions including revenues, costs, balances, and investment flows while managing recharge costs as required across multiple entities.
• Prepare trial balances and assist in compiling comprehensive financial statements for various entities within the CCUS holding organisation.
• Take responsibility for preparing the Group VAT return with precision and compliance to regulatory standards.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities by ensuring all relevant data is accurately captured and reconciled within tight deadlines.
• Provide essential support during statutory audit processes by preparing schedules and responding promptly to both internal and external auditor queries.
• Assist with financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions when required, ensuring all due diligence requirements are met effectively.

The required skillset;

• Qualified accountant ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA
• Relevant experience in accounting-ideally gained within a holding or investment company-enables you to understand complex organisational structures.
• Proficiency working with SAP ensures you can navigate enterprise resource planning systems efficiently.
• Advanced Excel skills allow
• Strong communication abilities
