About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join a London-based technology team within a prominent hedge fund or asset manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing enterprise-grade applications using .NET (C#) and possess a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions tailored to the financial industry, with optional exposure to front-end technologies such as Blazor and DevExpress. The successful candidate will work closely with various business units including Treasury, Operations, Accounting, and Compliance to deliver high-quality software solutions that support critical business functions.

In addition to technical expertise, the role requires domain knowledge in capital markets, preferably within hedge funds or asset management environments. The candidate will contribute to solution architecture, best coding practices, and support the team’s transition to a hybrid working model, balancing onsite and remote work to foster productivity and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of hands-on experience with .NET and C# development
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Blazor and DevExpress is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, finance-oriented environment
  • Domain expertise in at least one of the following: Treasury, Operations, Accounting, or Compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade .NET applications to meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Operations, Accounting, and Compliance to deliver integrated solutions
  • Participate in solution architecture, ensuring adherence to best practices in code quality, security, and maintainability
  • Assist in transitioning the development team from full-time onsite work to a hybrid model, supporting flexible work arrangements
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high standards of software quality
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize application performance and scalability
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
