You work closely with a cross-functional team of web developers and systems administrators, not to mention a variety of both regional and international customers. As a Cloud Data Consultant, you'll guide customers on how to ingest, store, process, analyze, and explore/visualize data on the Google Cloud Platform. You will work on data migrations and transformational projects, and with customers to design large-scale data processing systems, develop data pipelines optimized for scaling, and troubleshoot potential platform challenges. In this role, you will be working with Google's strategic Cloud customers, and with the team you will support customer implementation of Google Cloud products.

Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, data mining, data pipelines, structured data APIs, analytics, and managing metrics.
- 5 years of experience in a technical development or consulting role supporting teams, customers, and partners.
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain or currently possess UK Security Clearance (SC-level) to work with the customers in this sector.
- MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related Engineering field.
- Experience in advanced SQL tuning and optimization for cost and performance.
- Experience architecting, developing software, or internet scale production-grade Big Data solutions on top of public cloud managed services.
- Experience in AlloyDB, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), Enterprise, VMWare, Kubernetes and Containerization, Vertex AI, Gemini.

- Provide domain expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data infrastructure to support real-time analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Work with customers to design and implement data platforms for enterprise, with robust data streaming and batch pipelines, cloud based technical architectures and data migration approaches that enable business objectives.
- Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.
- Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
- Travel within UK for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
