Job Description
The role of the Operational Procedures Officer is to support the development of aerodrome procedures, ensuring Heathrow’s Airside operation applies continuous improvement methodologies to develop safe, efficient and compliant aerodrome procedures applicable to the complex operation at Heathrow. This role is Monday-Friday business hours.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.

Job Description
The role of the Operational Procedures Officer is to support the development of aerodrome procedures, ensuring Heathrow’s Airside operation applies continuous improvement methodologies to develop safe, efficient and compliant aerodrome procedures applicable to the complex operation at Heathrow. This role is Monday-Friday business hours.
Your role will involve
- Supporting the development of aerodrome procedures to ensure compliance with EASA licensing requirements.
- Ensuring that the aerodrome change management process is followed, and that aerodrome changes are correctly documented and assessed.
- Developing instructions, procedures and supporting documentation that underpin the Heathrow Snow Plan Airside.
- Coordinating the review of Operational Safety Instruction (OSIs), that sit under the Head of Airside Operations and Supporting the Aerodrome Procedures Manager in developing safety cases for aerodrome change.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders e.g., NATS, Ground Handlers and Airlines to assist in the development of aerodrome procedures.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely publication and maintenance of airside operational documentation across the Heathrow Airport website and the Airport Community App, to ensure consistent and reliable access to the most current and compliant documentation.
- Experience working in an operational role within an airport environment.
- A Valid UK driving licence in order to obtain an Airside Driving Permit (please note a full occupational medical check will also be required).
- Excellent attention to detail with experience following defined processes whilst providing solutions to problems.
- Experience in stakeholder management at all levels.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment Heathrow operates in, including practical application of relevant licensing documentation.
- Experience managing aeronautical data.
- Experience working in Airside Operations.
