JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will lead the People Experience team, playing a pivotal role in driving both HR operations and strategic business partnering across a rapidly growing, global SaaS organization. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the execution of streamlined HR operations supporting a diverse, remote workforce. Collaborate closely with business leaders to deliver data-driven people solutions. Your team will act as a key business partner, providing insights and guidance on organizational development, employee experience, and performance. Align closely with other specialized HR functions - Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Systems/Analytics, and Talent Management & Development - ensuring seamless execution of cross-functional initiatives and fostering an integrated HR strategy. This role is designed for a leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, focused on scaling people operations while enhancing strategic business outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
HR Operations Management:
- Lead the design and execution of efficient, scalable HR operations processes throughout the employee lifecycle (onboarding, global policies, employee relations, offboarding, etc.).
- Ensure the selection and effective management of external partners such as Employers of Record or consultancy firms that provide support in the 45+ countries where team members are located.
- Partner closely with the Legal & Compliance team to maintain compliance with global labor laws and internal policies across multiple regions and countries.
- Collaborate with the Finance team on compensation-related matters and ensure accurate and timely processing of all employee payables throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure new and existing processes comply with law and information security standards.
- Develop and manage HR metrics to assess operational efficiency and report key trends and insights.
- Ensure data hygiene in HRIS to automate processes and avoid mistakes.
HR Business Partnering:
- Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing expert guidance on HR initiatives such as employee engagement, performance management, employee retention, and organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leaders to implement HR solutions that align with business goals while maintaining company culture.
- Support teams through organizational changes and growth phases, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with overall business objectives.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of three HR professionals managing both HR Operations and Business Partnering responsibilities.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and results-driven environment within the team.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities, ensuring the team continuously improves and grows in both HR expertise and business acumen.
Collaboration with Broader HR Teams:
- Partner with other HR functions (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Systems, and Talent Management & Development) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of cross-functional HR initiatives.
- Coordinate with these teams to ensure HR operations processes align with broader organizational strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate to drive consistent messaging and support company-wide HR projects as needed.
Employee Experience & Culture:
- Foster a positive employee experience by ensuring that HR operations are efficient, employee-friendly, and aligned with company culture.
- Drive initiatives that promote a healthy, engaging, and inclusive remote work culture.
- Implement wellbeing initiatives to ensure employee wellbeing and inclusion are key components for scaling in a healthy way.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3-5 years of leadership experience managing both HR operations and business partnering functions.
- Strong background in HR operations within a global, fully remote company, ideally in a fast-paced SaaS or technology environment, especially with the US and EMEA.
- In-depth knowledge of global HR compliance, employee relations, and best practices across various regions.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to collaborate across HR functions, working closely with teams not under direct supervision (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Systems, and Talent Management & Development).
- Data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage HR metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-growing, remote-first environment and manage ambiguity effectively.
- Attention to detail and process-oriented.
- Curiosity to keep learning and experimenting.
