Job Description
Could you help empower families to parent children with special needs and disabilities resulting in improved outcomes for the whole family? Then apply below to join us and become part of our ambitious and successful Early Help 0-19 Service.
The Keyworker will liaise with mainstream and community services to promote the inclusion of disabled children and young people, encouraging attendance and participation in activities of their choice within the community without the need for Social Care involvement.
The Keyworker will directly support families to access services or funding, from charities and other sources, to ensure that disabled children and their families receive timely, coordinated support and deliver accredited interventions, such as parenting courses, that focus on understanding and supporting the unique experiences of parents/carers of disabled children. You will be part of a Team of L2 Keyworkers and will receive good supervision from an experienced manager.

The People We Are Looking For Will Have
- RQF level 3 qualification in a relevant subject eg. community development, health and social care, counselling, childcare, youthwork
- RQF level 2 English and Maths or ability to pass assessment at interview.
- Experience of direct working with families with children that have complex needs
- Experience of undertaking an assessment of need of families and children with complex needs

- Your experience of working with children and young people with complex disabilities and their families
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people
- Experience of assessing the complex needs of children, young people and their families
