Expleo has an exciting opportunity for a CAD Solutions Architect. The role will see assigned to a new project, where you will be responsible for defining the CAD strategy and roadmap based on business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • To understand the current and forecast CAD systems, data usage and processes
  • To define the ongoing CAD strategy / Roadmap for the client
  • Understand the business requirements and pain-points
  • Understand the technical requirements for business and IT
  • Understand the functional and technical data and system integration requirements
  • Understand the various vendor offerings and ongoing product roadmaps
  • Coordinate with the business and influence them into using the most appropriate tool / application for each type of data
  • Creating metrics for the CAD tools (tool comparison)
  • Data types in use across the business to include but not limited to
    • Mechanical Components
    • Electrical/EC&I Components & Wiring
    • Civil Components
    • PI&Ds & Routing (Electrical / Pipework /HVAC)
    • Model Based Definitions
  • Understand and recommend the consumption of CAD data for;
    • Bill of Manufacture (BOM)
    • Bill of Process (BOP)
    • Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Essential Skills

  • An excellent understanding of CAD systems data usage and creation and of the technical and data integration to downstream IT systems
  • Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive CAD strategy
  • Deep understanding of Building Information Management processes, federated models, level of detail and visualization in CAD models
  • Excellent project management skills

Experience

  • Several years' experience of using a number of enterprise CAD systems
  • Several years' experience of implementing CAD systems in an enterprise environment
  • Experience of defining a CAD strategy / Roadmap for a large enterprise
  • Experience of working with technical and engineering users to capture business requirements and pain-points
  • Experience of working with technical and engineering users to capture technical requirements for business and IT
  • A good understanding of the vendor offerings and ongoing product roadmaps in the CAD tool space
  • Experience of working with and influencing senior business users and managers
  • Experience of working with the following data types;
    • Mechanical Components
    • Electrical/EC&I Components & Wiring
    • Civil Components
    • PI&Ds & Routing (Electrical / Pipework /HVAC)
    • Model Based Definitions
    • Bill of Manufacture (BOM)
    • Bill of Process (BOP)
    • Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
