Outstanding opportunity for a forward-thinking Finance Manager to support the CEO of a successful, dynamic business, as the in-house Finance expert, managing all aspects of the finance function and influencing business strategy and performance.


This role would suit an experienced and competent finance professional, with a proven capability to work collaboratively with non-finance managers to identify and deliver business improvements.

As the in-house finance expert, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance, from accounts payable, invoicing and payroll through to identifying opportunities for profit improvement. It’s a diverse and hands-on role, supported by a finance assistant, who will report to you.


Operationally, you will work closely with the Sales, Leisure and Hospitality managers, to optimise finance processes and develop / interpret reports that enable them to maximise the performance of their own departments. In addition you will produce management accounts, reports, budgets and forecasts for the CEO to support them with business strategy.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

● Recognised accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent – part-qualified or qualified).

● Proven experience in a finance role with responsibilities across payroll, reporting, and budgeting.

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging and collaborating with non-financial stakeholders.

● Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Proactive mindset with a drive for improving systems and procedures.

● Competent in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage 50)

Desirable:

● Experience working in the non-profit or hospitality/leisure sector.

● Experience working in an SME or similar-sized organisation.
