The team…

The highway design team is responsible for a varied programme of civil engineering works associated with the highway network and public realm. The work include initial concepts designs through to final design and specifications, contract documentation and site supervision of the works.


About the role….

You will lead the team in the design and supervision of highway improvements and other municipal engineering schemes and as such will require relevant experience at an appropriate level of responsibility in a highway design environment along with an accredited degree in civil engineering.


A detailed knowledge of highway design processes and civil engineering contract procedures combined with project management and budgetary control along with proficiency in AutoCAD and MX and Civil 3D are essential requirements of the post along with Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.


You must possess a current driving licence.

  • You’ll be paid a competitive salary Grade L, £46,731 to £49,764 pa plus an additional temporary Recruitment & Retention Allowance 15%: £7,009.65 - £7,464.60.
