Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities This job is a key RICS position with responsibility for ensuring that RICS meets its obligations to deliver effective self-regulation. We are seeking Investigators who are resilient with significant experience of critically analysing complex regulatory and disciplinary investigations and making evidence-based recommendations on the outcome of a case. You will:

  • Lead and be accountable for the most complex cases, progressing each case in line with challenging KPIs and other high-quality performance measures

  • Use appropriate risk-based strategies to investigate reports of misconduct and service standards

  • Collate and critically analyse information on reported conduct issues in a timely manner to identify risks and decide what action, if any, should be taken using sound judgement

  • Creating first class written documentation, setting the standard for less experienced investigators

  • Conduct thorough and robust investigations on the most serious and complex cases

  • About You
  • Strong investigation experience from a comparable regulator or experience working in private practice, with extensive experience investigating compliance and regulatory matters

  • Experience working on complex and multi-layered investigations, making robust and well

  • informed decisions under pressure
  • Strong understanding of, and commitment to, the principles of good regulation and the ability to apply these effectively in a non-statutory, cross-border environment

  • Strong experience in drafting documents to a high-quality standard

  • Demonstrable experience of liaising with members of the public within investigations and in

  • response to complaints
  • Experience of developing people or teams in a casework or investigation environment
