Reporting to the Senior Director / Head of Marketing in Europe, the Manager, EU Innovation will lead and deliver the EU innovation agenda for Ecover; defining and driving the innovation pipeline to market that is in service of the global brand & business strategy.

Responsibilities:

Innovation strategy:

  • Definition and leadership of the next chapter of Ecover’s innovation strategy to 2030 – identifying areas of profitable growth, world first sustainability technologies, category & product stretch opportunities, untapped consumer behaviours.
  • Oversight of category trends, competitive reviews, market analysis
  • Champion an innovation led culture within the LSB organization


Innovation delivery:

  • Lead the innovation pipeline from conception to fruition – driving projects through the stage-gate process / working with a dynamic cross functional team in brand, product development, commercial, operations, finance, creative & design
  • Lead creative concept development and clear articulation of the consumer desirability, product feasibility and financial viability
  • Lead critical decision making / recommendation throughout innovation development
  • Manage overall product claims, including legal and compliance
  • Support local market assessment of innovation commercialization and input to forecasting assumptions / size of prize analysis.


Team leadership:

  • Actively mentor, manage and develop team of 2 direct reports (x1 Associate Manager Innovation, 1 Senior Associate Innovation) helping them to grow and develop in their roles and managerial skills as a high performing team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EU marketing & x functional teams to ensure up to date knowledge of business needs, requirements & challenges

  • Professional Experience: You have extensive experience in brand-led roles such as Brand Management and Account Management within an FMCG company.
  • Innovation Expertise: You possess excellent innovation experience, consistently bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Project Management: You have a strong background in project management, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Leadership Skills: You have proven team leadership abilities, guiding and inspiring your team to achieve their best.
  • Adaptability: You can deal with ambiguity and thrive in a complex environment, adapting to changing circumstances with ease. You are skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks, ensuring that everything gets done efficiently.

You think like a founder, using analysis to turn great ideas into exceptional and profitable sales growth.
