About The Role

The power of marketing is undeniable – you can have an amazing product (like we do here at DS Smith!) but without the right marketing behind it, you wouldn’t be aware of it. The Marketing Team at DS Smith plays a pivotal role in creating brand awareness, driving profit and growth, acquiring, and retaining customers and enhancing our engagement. Using that passion and creativity, our teams ensure the amazing work we are doing is showcased to the world.

We have a fabulous opportunity at DS Smith for a talented, self-directed, and high energy individual to join the Recycling & Paper teams as our European Marketing Manager. This is a fantastic role for the right candidate with a real opportunity to drive our non-digital marketing agenda forward in a dynamic and fast paced business.

This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

This role is a crucial part of the Marketing team, as you will be fully involved in the planning and delivery of the non-digital marketing projects that support the achievement of the Paper and Recycling Division’s short- and medium-term objectives.

Working closely with commercial and central teams, you will be creating agreed communication material (leaflets, brochures, presentations, training assets, graphics and video etc) to share with our European commercial teams and your digital marketing team colleagues to support their marketing activities. This could also consist of visiting sites across Europe for various project work, including installation of displays and wall art. Managing the Marketing Coordinator, you will coach, guide and mentor a junior colleague – providing day-to-day support on project work and a focus on development and growth in role. The successful candidate would be someone who has experience of people management or mentoring, as well as managing multiple marketing projects to completion and an eye for detail and creativity.

So, if you are an experienced Marketing Assistant looking to step up, or an existing Marketing Manager looking for a new challenge - then we might be looking for you!
