As a Financial Assessment & Charging Reviewing Officer you will play a vital role in ensuring a consistent and fair approach when completing financial assessment reviews, to promote affordable, sustainable support for individuals who require Adult Social care service. The Role
As a Financial Assessment & Charging Reviewing Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking financial assessment reviews on an annual basis for individuals receiving adult social care services, ensuring accurate determination of charges and contributions.
- Processing financial information and maintaining accurate, comprehensive records.
- Providing welfare benefit advice
- Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective information sharing and resolution of queries.
- Supporting the Financial Assessment & Charging Team in the delivery of the financial assessment and charging service.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in financial assessment and charging within a social care environment.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide advice and support to service users.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively, while also contributing to team objectives.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data processing.
- Hold a full, clean driving licence
