Salary: £18.51 - £20.49 per hour, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, full time subject to a 3 month probationary period

Working Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week. Working Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts for the first 1-2 months. After this, and following successful probation, shifts move to 4 days a week, 10 hours per day, either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that internal and external customer demands are achieved, quality standards are met and labour efficiencies are maximised within a safe working environment.

As a member of our in house Engineering Team, you’ll be hands-on in your approach to machine maintenance on a day-to-day basis, whilst collaboratively driving continuous improvement within the Engineering department, as well as with Production Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and Procurement.

If you have:

  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with strong fault-finding skills
  • Confidence working with production machinery and equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • A sound understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement

And you are:

  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and constructively
  • Organised, responsive and able to prioritise tasks based on production needs
  • Committed to safe working practices and proactive in identifying improvements

About The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring repair tickets are responded to in a timely manner, delivering effective and efficient equipment and machinery maintenance and repairs.

Additionally, you will manage machinery to the highest standard, oversee spare parts usage and stock levels whilst keeping accurate maintenance and repair records.
