A Bit About What You Will Do...
As Events Manager, you will ensure a smooth and effective running of the entire meetings and events operations.
- Plan and manage the day to day operations of all M&E areas of the hotel and ensure all service standards are followed and report back on financial performance and employee satisfaction.
- Implement, measure, monitor and improve all guest service and guest recognition programs such as trust you.
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings.
- Demonstrate a management style which promotes effective development and use of team members through regular reviews and coaching.
- Provide support and training on upselling and negotiating techniques for all team members within the M&E/Food & Beverage service area.
- Keep staffing in line with payroll budget and proactively plan employee holidays and balance seasonal fluctuations.
- Very strong communication skills and an excellent standard of written and spoken English.
- Ability to take initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last-minute changes.
- Strong attention to detail. A smart and professional appearance.
- Most of all, you will have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner.
- Experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel is a significant advantage.
