Salary: up to £25k +£3k car allowance. This role will involve a lot of daily travel visiting sites across the North-West.
Apprenticeship Duration: 18-month qualification on a Fixed Term Contract.
Location: Brewery/Site based.
Working Hours: 35 hours a week over 5 days worked flexibly to suit your needs and what’s going on in the pubs

Your Development: Enrol on a fully funded 18-month Level 3 qualification to become a Safety, Health and Environment Technician as well as career planning, support and progression opportunities. We are looking for a someone eager to learn. You will work closely with the H&S advisor, the development chef and the property and facilities manager with the following areas of the business

The Job.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Advise on health, safety and environmental requirements as they affect the company’s operations ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Develop, review and check on the implementation of safe systems of work, deliver training, investigate complaints and incidents, analyse data and present findings to the management team in order to secure improvements across the company.
- Review, update and audit policy and procedures to ensure the company is legally compliant
- Build competency and train managers and head chefs in fire safety and health & safety procedures at a site level
- Ensure inspection and testing schedules are on target and maintained
- Investigate accidents, near misses, incidents, dangerous occurrences, prepare reports and draft statements
About You.
- A genuine interest in Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal – ability to communicate at different levels (you will work closely with site General Managers and Head Chefs)
- Excellent IT, administration and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C (or grades 4-9) or equivalent or working towards
- Commitment to learning and development and able to balance learning and earning
- Ability to accurately record data
